Abstract Aimed at attaining the purposes of different stages in the exploration of interstratified oxidation zone sandstone type uranium deposits, namely basin selection, area selection, sector selection, locating and exploration, this paper has put forward corresponding feasible geophysical and geochemical techniques evidenced by practical examples. On such a basis, the author has established the model for applying geophsical and geochemical techniques to different stages of prospecting for interstratified oxidation zone sandstone type uranium deposits.
