Abstract The pyrite type copper polymetallic deposits are volcanics deposits related to submarine volcanic eruption sedimentary formation, and the mineralization occurs in marine intermediate acid spilite keratophyre sequence generally with relatively high content of trace elements. Host strata are dominated by Cu, Pb and Zn in association with Sb, Ba, Ag, As, Bi, Hg, Cd etc. These elements regionally form large areas of geochemical anomalies, whose main bodies correspond to orefields. Large scale rock geochemical survey in the ore district shows that distinct primary anomalies of these indicator elements are alternately in conformity with the mineralization enrichment positions of the ore deposit, showing indistinct horizontal zoning and obvious vertical zoning. Elements of different indicating significance are concentrated in different positions of mineralization, exhibiting zonation. Such zonation is an important geochemical parameter for evaluating denudation extent of mineralization and ore hunting prospects.
