Based on studies of three gold ore districts in West Sichuan plateau prairie area,this paper has summed up the weakly acid and somewhat reductive supergene geochemical characteristics of this area,the impoverishment and enrichment of different groups of elements,and the variation regularity of elements in soil of different size fractions and depths.It is pointed out that Au,As,Sb,Hg and W are main ore-forming elements in gold deposits of this area.
