The application of composite electrical prospecting methods,i.e.induced polarization method (three-parameter anomalies of polarizability η,excitation ratio J,and attenuation degree D),electrical sounding profile method and spontaneous electrical field method,to the detection and demonstration of types and locations of hidden perils in dams might yield material effects and satisfactorily predict hidden perils in earth-stone dams.
