Based on achievoments gained in experimental sandy of applying hydrochemical survey to gold prospecting in three areas of Qinling region, the present paper describes such hydrogeochemical characteristics as gold and minor elements and major components in underground water and its pHand Eh values as well as their ore-prospecting effects, thus demonstrating the effectiveness of hydrochemical prospecting for gold and the significance of its widespread application.
