This paper briefly introduces the development of seismic exploration of metallic deposits and, on the basis of an overall analysis of the seismogeologic conditions of metallic deposits, puts forward the basic technical measures that must be taken at various links of the seismic exploration technique for metallic deposits. With the seismic exploration performed in the Tongling metallic deposit as an example, the paper deals with the multiple coverage technique in seismic exploration of metallic deposits under the simple geological condition In addition, a tentative discussion is made on the trend of the study and development of seismic exploration for metallic deposits.
