Abstract Based on analysing characteristics of the geophysical field of North China Platform, this paper deals tentatively with geological factors causing gravity gradient zones, localized gravity low and negative magnetic anomalies related to gold deposits, and deduces structural framework of deep-seated faults, hydro-thermal alteration areas as well as distribution of granitoid intrusives in northern Hebei. Taking two ore districts on North China Platform as examples, it illust rates the relationship of geophysical field and deep-seated structures to gold deposits, thus establishing a geophysical-geological model for gold metallization. Finally, ore prediction is given for gold prospects in Hebei Province.
