The dip-angle method is a widely-used surface electromagnetic technique developed quite long ago. Using electromagnetic response formula for semi-infi nite thin-plank conductor and adopting proper parameters, the author has calculated and drawn interpretation alignment charts for two major devices in the dip-angle method and evaluated buried depth and dip angle of the thin-plank conductor. This technique is applicable approximately to circumstances of finite conductivity.
