Abstract In geochemical exploration using such organic components in water as phenol, benzene, dissolved gaseous hydrocarbon, hydrocarbon determined by ultraviolet absorption spectrometry and X-ray spectrometry and 813C1, one anomaly of Grade Ⅰ, four anomalies of Grade IIand three anomalies of Grade Ⅲ were found in the survey area, which indicate locations for oil-gas exploration. In addition, an exploration showed that K+ content of deep underground water might be ;is high as 5791.5mm. All this reveals the favourable area for both oil-gas and sylvite prospecting.
