Copper resource prediction and prospective reserve assessment have been made for an area of 16, 576 km² in northeast Jiangxi by means of statistical technique of characteristic analysis.The results obtained in some known ore deposits of this area show that the characteristic model established by this technique has fairly high confidence level, and is surely of some value in further ore prospecting.
