Abstract To tackle the influence of the radon on the airborne gamma-ray spectrometry survey, the authors studied the law of atmospheric radon during the climatic change, and detected that the atmospheric radon change is easily controlled by the meteorological factors, and has great influence on Tc and uranium channel in the aviation gamma spectrum measurement. In consideration of the fact that the radon will be slowly stabilized three hours after the rain, the authors put forward the regularity of the influence of radon on the airborne gamma-ray spectrometry and the measures that should be taken in practical work.
