Abstract In this study, the authors built five kinds of pollution models and carried out numerical simulation with the finite-difference method to tackle different ways and different media of groundwater pollution, based on GPR forward modeling software (GPRMax). The simulation results show that GPR exhibits fairly good application effects in detecting groundwater pollution.
