Abstract Hard rock-hosted uranium deposits in southern China constitute an important producer of uranium ore districts. In the past years, a lot of EH-4 measurement work was carried out; nevertheless, during the information processing in the application process, complex external conditions in southern China makes it difficult to perform explanation. In this paper, with a line of the Shazijiang deposit as a study case, the authors analyzed some EH-4 measurement problems, and tried to use such means as spectrum file reading, impedance tensor decomposition, and static correction and terrain correction on the basis of the MT-Pioneer software. The authors conducted a two-dimensional inversion, and the inversion results were consistent with the features of actual geological body, thus providing a reference for future EH-4 data processing in such areas.
