Abstract The authors analyzed the element distribution characteristics, element correlation and geochemical mineralization model of ore spots in Chimanimani area of Zimbabwe by means of stream sediment survey, established the regression model for gold and associated elements, and delineated 6 metallogenic prospective areas according to the abnormal features and regularity of spatial distribution and through optimization, with Tarka prospective area as the potential area of hydrothermal alteration type gold deposit, and the other 5 areas as the main exploration targets for copper, nickel, titanium deposits.
