Abstract With the development of technology and the increasing difficulty in finding new shallow deposits, the single and traditional method can hardly meet the demand of finding new mineral resources. This paper made a case study of VLF and EH-4 in the exploration of the Xiaosijia fluorite deposit in Aohan Banner, Inner Mongolia. On the basis of geological survey, the authors applied VLF and EH4 method to the exploration of the Xiaosijia fluorite deposit. According to the results, the combining method of VLF and EH-4 is useful in the exploration of concealed fluorite deposits, the VLF survey can quickly define the distribution characteristics of structures with low resistance, and the EH-4 survey can reveal the deep distribution of structures with low resistance. The two methods can make their respective advantages complementary to each other and offer scientific foundation for the future exploration.
