Abstract Some records were made for shallow geothermal temperatures of Guyuan and Raoyang in Hebei Province through test drilling, with the depth of the dill hole reaching 40 meters. the observation period lasted for more than one year and the authors recorded the data once a day. Based on previous work, the authors made an analysis of the hallow geothermal field characteristics and determined the relevant parameters of the stratosphere: the stratosphere depth at Guyuan is 24 m and the temperature is about 5.6 ℃, whereas the stratosphere depth at Raoyang is 18 meters and the temperature is 14.7 ℃ accordingly.
