Abstract The method of remote sensing interpretation was used to study regional geology and tectonic setting of controlled heat in this paper. A variety of geophysical prospecting methods such as CSAMT (Controlled Source Audio-frequency Magnetotellurics), DCS (Direct Current Sounding), medium gradient survey and measuring of combined profile were employed to reduce the risk of geothermal resource exploration and find the structure of the concealed fault zone. The results provide the basis for drilling and prove the effectiveness of these methods in geothermal resource exploration in Qinghai.
