Abstract The authors summarized the basis and foundation of the prospecting prognostic method based on structural superimposed halo of the metallogenic belt. With the Rushan gold metallogenic belt in Shandong as the demonstration prognostic area, the authors put forward the new train of thought, working contents and flow chart for metallogenic prognosis based on structure superimposed halo in the metallogenic belt. The successful prediction results of Rushan show that the structure superimposed halo prediction is a direct, fast and effective way in regional metallogenic prognosis.
