AN ANALYSIS OF GEOPHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OFEASTERN QINGZANG(QINGHAI-XIZANG)PLATEAUMINEROGENIC BELT
Yang Hua, Jiang Yueming, Wang Lan
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1988, 12 (4): 241-248.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (625KB) ( 496 )

By applying plate tectonic theory, this paper interprets characteristics of magnetic fields in eastern Qingzang plateau, and indicates the existence of five minerogenic belts (provinces)with different characteristics in this region, whi ch are in turn Kangdian rift minerogenic belt. Longmenshan paleo-are mine rogenic belt, Yarlungzangbojiang paleo-oceanic ridge minerogenic belt, Jinshaji-ang-Ailaoshan block separation-combination minerogenic belt and Bayanhar-shan alongjiang rejuvenated continental crust minerogenic province. Among them, the Kafigdian rift belt contains extremely peculiar and rich ore resources, such as world-famous V, Ti, Ni, Pt ores, Au, Cu, Pb, Zn ores, REE, Sn and oth er polymetallic ores, together with abundant coal, P, gypsum halite and oil-gas resources, thus making up a minerogenic belt with the largest ore reserves and the most complicated mineral species in China. The Yarlungzangbojiang minerogenic belt is actually the eastern extension part of the main belt of the world-famous Mediterranean chromite belt, hence being the most promisng area for chromite resources in China. The Jinshajiang-Ailaoshan minerogenic be-It has its special, structures and contains various sorts of nonferrous and noble metal ores, such as Au-bearing and Ag-rich polymetallic ores and porphyry copper deposits, with the mineralized outcrops often stretching uninterrupted ly for several hundred kilometers, suggesting its considerable economic poten tial. Finally, the present paper gives a discitssion on mineralization model of the plateau minerogenic belt and the effectiveness of geophysical prospecting in this belt. It is suggested that ore prospecting work should be conducted in seven important ore belts (provinces).

ON PROPERTIES OF ZHOUSHAN-GUOTOU FAULTZONE AND ITS EXTENSION TOWARDS THE CONTINENT
    Jiao Rongchang
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1988, 12 (4): 249-255.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (567KB) ( 544 )

Based on geological-geophysical data of the East China Sea, this paper deals with the dominant role of Zhoushan-Guotou fault zone lying astride the East China Sea area in the Geological structural framework of the Plast China Sea and the extension of this fault zone."Being divided into zones in EWdirection and into blocks in SNdirection" makes up the basic property of the geological structures in the East ChinaSea and also the fundamental character of geophysical field in this area. Nevertheless, the disputes remain unsettled as to where the boundary between the south block and the north block lies and whether the Zhoushan-Guotou fault zone extends towards the continental area. These problems are related to geotectonic framework of eastern China. According to geophysical and some geological data, the author puts forward his own views on these problems for further investigation and discussion.

A DRAFT FOR LANDSCAPE GEOCHEMICALREGIONALIZATION OF XIANGJIANG VALLEY
    Deng Yanfan
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1988, 12 (4): 256-263.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (610KB) ( 459 )

Based on landscape geochemical regionalization of Xiangjiang valley, the pre sent paper describes general principles, methods, indices and grade system of the re-gionalization. With the ore-prospecting work in a certain area as an example,it illustrates the application of landscape geochemical regionalization to ore pros pecting. This-paper is therefore of some reference value for geochemical pros pecting in this valley.

GEOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PRIMARYANOMALIES IN THE DEXING PORPHYRYCOPPER OREFIELD
    Mei Zhankui
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1988, 12 (4): 264-271.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (627KB) ( 693 )

Primary geochemical characteristics of the Dexing copper orefield are studied in this paper. The granodiorite porphyry in this area has the highest copper content, and is intimately associated with anomalies and orebodies. There exist positive correlations between the major metallogenic elements Cu, Mo, Au and Ag. The anomaly assumes pecuiliar concentric zonal form, and is hence of great significance in locating mineralization.

A DISCUSSION ON PROGNOSIS OF ASH CONTENTOF CRUDE FUEL IN COAL SEAMS BY MEANSOF VOLUME MODEL NONLINEAR COMPUTATION
    Liu Tiancheng
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1988, 12 (4): 272-280.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (590KB) ( 633 )

The study on ash content of crude fuel in coal seams seems to be extre mely important in quantitative interpretation of digital logging in the coalfield. In this paper, the volume model nonlinear computation is used to predict ash content of crude fuel in coal seams with medium-high resistance in No. 1 Shaping opencut coal mine of the Hedong coal field in Shanxi province and the suburban mine field of the Yongcheng coal field in Henan province, with the mean square error being respectively 2.65% and 1.78%.

THE APPLICATION OF SEISMIC REFLECTIONTECHNIQUE TO THE STRATIFICATION OFQUATERNARY SEDIMENTS AND THEDETERMINATION OF NEOTECTONISM
    Xu Deqing, Ju Xinghua
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1988, 12 (4): 281-289.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (660KB) ( 339 )

The stratification of Quaternary sediments and the determination of neo-tectonism are of great significance in engineering geological exploration.Based on elaborate design, construction, data-processing as well as careful analysis and interpretation conducted at the construction site for exploration of a highway bridge spanning the Yellow River, the authors have gained satisfacto ry results in the precise stratification of Quaternary sediments and the deter mination of neotectonism, thus providing reliable scientific grounds for siting and designing of the railway bridge spanning the Yellow River at this cons truction site.

    CORRELATION ANALYSIS OF ELECTRICALSOUNDING DATA
    Zhang Wei
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1988, 12 (4): 290-297.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (469KB) ( 738 )

The present paper describes a mathematical statistical method suitable for hydrogeophysical work which, bases on electrical parameters of electrical sounding data, uses unary linear correlation to evaluate buried depth of ground-water, percentage of clay soil and thickness of water-bearing layer, and uses binary linear correlation to forecast such hydrogeological parameters as water-gushing amounts. The different levels of correlation existent between various parameters in the regression equation cannot be regarded either as a fortuitous coincidence or as the universally applicable regularity. The factors affecting various parameters are pretty complicated. Generally speaking, the correlations of various parameters are relatively obvious in such hydrogeological units as intermon-tane basin, piedmont fan and lacustrine or alluvial plain.Facts show that the mathematical statistical method is applicable to the qualitative-quantitative interpretation of the D. C. electrical sounding data and that this method may yield fairly satisfactory geological results in those hydrogeological units which meet the requirements of correlation analysis.

    Pang Cunlian
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1988, 12 (4): 298-303.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (377KB) ( 440 )

Using available data on densities of different strata in Qinghai province, this paper has established a linear equation between the density of rocks and the age of strata, indicated the possibility of determining the age of strata with the help of the density, and pointed out the errors that are likely to occur in this work.
