Abstract Some important models of the Earth' s lithospheric magnetic field, such as MF series, CM, POMME series, NGDC-720 and EMAG2, are reviewed in this paper. Global CTD map compiled by Dr. Purucker and Dr. Fox Maule and the CTD map of China's mainland compiled by Prof. Hou and her colleagues are highly recommended.
