Abstract The requirement for relative amplitude preservation of seismic data has become higher and higher. However, the techniques and procedures of seismic processing are mainly focused on structure imaging, but their effects on amplitude are often ignored, so the processing results are often badly amplitude-preserved. Based on real and model data, this paper has analyzed the characteristics of amplitude preservation of surface wave suppression, geometrical spread compensation and predictive deconvolution techniques. On the basis of amplitude-preservation analysis, the optimized processing methods and procedures are proposed. The analytical result shows that the amplitude features of seismic processing results can be preserved better.
