Abstract The hydrothermal type Pb-Zn-Cu deposits are closely related to the volcanic apparatus in Derbur area of Inner Mongolia. The authors found and delineated a classic and relatively large-size volcanic apparatus by studying the 1∶50 000 high-precision aero-geophysical data. It is thought that the prospecting potential of this area is promising, as evidenced by analyzing and studying all kinds of data(such as aeromagnetic data, remote sensing and geological data). The result obtained can guide the ground prospecting work and speed up the mineral resources exploitation work.
