Abstract The Controlled Source Audio Frequency Magnetotelluric Method for hydrogeological exploitation of coalfields was employed in this paper. The method for measuring water-bearing large-throw faults can not only effectively control their spatial locations but also qualitatively determine their water content. The result is in good conformity with known hydrogeological information.
