Abstract This paper describes the present situation of applying aerogeophysical techniques to 1:250 000 regional geological mapping. It is believed that aerogeophysical techniques are important in identifying volcanic rocks, intrusive rocks, metamorphic rocks, fractures and volcanic structures, and that the application results are especially obvious in detecting underground information. Therefore, these techniques can make regional geological mapping more effective and scientific.
