Abstract Considering the low signal-to-noise ratio characteristics of seismic data from the Tarim desert area, the authors have put forward a suite of techniques suitable for processing low signal-to-noise ratio seismic data from the desert area. The problems like static correction and denoising before stack in this area have been solved. Practical processing proves the techniques to be effective.
