Abstract The relaxation principle of the atomic nucleus system magnetization is discussed in this paper. Relaxation of hydrogen macroscopic nuclear magnetization is analyzed, Bloch equation of nuclear magnetization is given, free induction decay in receiving coil is presented, and relaxation about components of the nuclear magnetization and free induction decay is computed. In addition, the relationship of nuclear magnetization and free induction decay to the longitudinal and transverse time constants is analyzed.
