Abstract As a newly developed exploration method, the transient Rayleigh wave method still has some defects. With practical examples, this paper has investigated and discussed the data-collecting technique in transient Rayleigh wave materials, and analyzed various factors affecting the transient Rayleigh wave exploration and the data-collecting technique that should be adopted. In this way, the purpose of improving the data collection quality of transient Rayleigh wave can be achieved.
