Abstract A geochemical exploration database was constructed for data from 1:50 000 geochemical stream sediment survey conducted in an area of about 7000 km2 in Xiao Qingling region. On the basis of studying and comprehensively analyzing the ore-forming regularity, a quantitative prognostic model was established. With this model, three first-grade Au target areas was delineated.
