Abstract Through the analysis of the heavy metallic effusive halos over the oil reservoir, we can get to know the probability of the existence of oil and gas and determine the horizontal distribution of the oil reservoir as well as the geophysical and geometric parameters. The authors have tentatively constructed a mathematical-physical model for the distribution of such effusive halos and probed into the possibility of applying this model to interpreting measured geoelectric chemical anomalies.
