Ship noise interference is one of the major interference in offshore seismic data collection. In most cases, the ship noise interference has the property of lateral wave, and hence the traditional processing technique for eliminating linear regular inferences fails to suppress it. By employing the spatial domain transform method, the regular ship noise interference in the common shotpoint domain can be converted into stochastic interference in the common deviation distance domain, and by using the popular technique for suppressing stochastic interference, the aim of suppressing ship noise interference can be attained. The examples of suppressing ship noise interference are also given in this paper.
