Abstract Vertical migration of uranium and associated elements with the help of the earth,s gas flow was studied by using mobile-state uranium technique.Such migration results in abnormal distribution of uranium and associated elements at the earth,s surface. This kind of abnormal condition is an obvious chemical characteristic of the concealed sandstone type uranium deposits in interlayer oxidation zone, and can hence be used to detect such uranium deposits.
