Abstract This promising deposit of Kuolasayi in Xinjiang was formed in the paralic volcanic formation of Lower Carboniferous Dahalajunshan Group.Having systematically analysed its geochemical anomalies and its geological setting and generalized its exploration process and prospecting indicators, the authors tentatively discuss the basic exploration ways from detecting geochemical anomalies to discovering useful hidden ore deposits. The effect is quite obvious.
