Abstract The present paper has described geochemical characteristics of the Nakyn kimberlite ore district in Yakut area,Russia. Through geochemical sampling on different scales from stream sediments, soils and drilling cores of this area in combination with spectral absorption and X-ray radiometric survey, this paper has revealed secondary anomalies of indicator elements or kimberlite in this area in the light of rounded structure of the ore district as well as the distribution characteristics of such indicator elemlents of kimberlite as Cr,Co,Sr,Zr and Yin stream sediments, soils and drilling cores. In this way,the feasibility of applying geochemical tecnique to the prospecting for deep concealed kimberlite pipes has been proved.
