Abstract In probing the underground ruins of ancient city wall of Song Kingdom in East Zhou Dynasty located in Shangqiu Prefecture,Henan Province, the authors employed the high-density resistivity technique. The inversion result of the resistivity is quite coincident with the burial condition of the underground ancient city wall. This shows that archaeometry is an important field in geophysical techniques.
