Abstract The presnet paper presents the boundary element numerical simulation techniquefor the magnetic field, the electric field, the dip angle of the polarized ellipse and the apparentresistivity anomaly in the very low frequency electromagnetic method of the two-dimensionalgeoelectric model and, on the basis of calculations, discusses the basic regularity of topographicinfluence and the method for its correction. The composed computation program is also suitablefor various sorts of frequency electromagnetic sounding methods that can meet the requirementsof far field on the two-dimensional nonhorizontal layor.
