Abstract This paper presents brief ioformation on the background of the establishment of the Cninase Academy of Geooxploration as well as its nature, tasks and composition, with an emphatic description given on the abundant achievements gained in the aspect of geophysical and geochemical exploration since its establishment, which has been promoting the edvance of exploration technology. In the end, it is pointed out that, for the purpose of building up the Chinese Academy of Geoexploration into the center of exploration technology, arduous efforts should be made in the aspects of scientific research, exploration and perpersonnel training.
