Abstract:This paper first describes the adverse effect of coal seam goaf in tunnel on tunnel construction and operation, and then compares advantages and disadvantages of various geophysical technologies in the light of specific work space of the tunnel. GPR technology which has a strong anti-interference capability and high efficiency is adopted to detect the coal seam goaf. Combined with several engineering examples, this paper analyzes the coal seam goaf detection in high risk tunnel by using GPR technology, and verifies the validity and accuracy of GPR.
