The telluric electromagnetic sounding performed along the Macheng-Jiu-gongshan profile has yielded rather abundant information on deep geology: thegeoelectric features of Dabie uplift, Jower Yangtze platform folded belt andJiangnan anteclise are exhibited quite distinctly; the tatracrustal high-condu-ctive layer and Upper Mantle high-conductive layer are defined; the Xishui-Tongbo fault zone is further proved to be a gigantic deeply-dissected faultzone. Much light has been thrown on the relationship between Qinling foldsystem and Yangtze paraplatform and between Jiangnan anteclise and LowerYangzte platform folded belt. It is also thought that such intrusive bodies asJinshandian, Shangzhu, Lingxiang and Yinzu are connected with each other atdepth.
