Over the past ten years, much work has been done in the field of gravity survey, which yields quite a number of outcomes. The compilation of maps in line with the principle of "unity in five aspects", in particular, helps to solve many geological problems. Nevertheless, as lots of trouble still exist in the study and interpretation of the data, the deepening of interpretation is beco ming the objective necessity when the regional gravity survey has developed to the present situation. It is pointed out that the aim of deepening interpre tation is to solve more basic geological and ore prognostic problems, especially the key problem in working area. Some requirements have been posed for the deepening of gravity data interpretation and the integrated interpretation of gravity and other data as well as the deepening of geological interpretation. In addition, the author advances his opinions concerning the gravity data processing and some technical problems in interpretation. At last, he puts forward some suggestions about the measures that should be taken for realizing the deepening of interpretation.
