Based on quantitative analyses of 28 elements in 1911 regional geochemi-cal samples from the 1:200,000 Zhushan map area, the authors have made atest on the method of factor analysis. The results suggest that, in regional geo-chemical prospecting, the factor analysis can provide information for explana-tion of combination model of elements in anomalies and can illustrate such geo-logical problems as structures and magmatic rocks as well as geochemical re-gularities.
