This paper deals with characteristics of primary geochemical anomaliesfrom the Lijiagou stratabound Pb-Zn deposit in Chengxian county, Gansu pro-vince and the ore-prospecting indicators. According to the distribution of che-mical elements in various rocks of the ore district and an analysis of theircorrelationship and combination characters, the authors propose some ore-pro-specting indicators which combine inorganic chemistry with organic chemistry.In order to find criteria for denudation extent of the deposit, the paper inves-tigates variations of contents, ratios, correlationship and combination charactersof chemical elemeuts in different parts of the orebody. The association of halo-forming elements and the spatial distribution of primary halos are studied and,on the basis of zonality index calculations, the vertical and horizontal zoningsequences of indicator elements in primary halos are determined. All these in-vestigations contributes to the ore-prospecting and evaluation of this type ofore deposits. Finally, the paper makes a tentative discussion on the differencesin primary anomalies between stratabound deposits and typical hydrothermaldeposits.
