Based on surface and borehole rock survey data, this paper has studied primary geochemical characteristics of the Ashele copper-polymetallic deposit, found out main indicator elements and their three-dimensional spatial distribution regularity, and established effective geochemical prospecting evaluation indices.Studies show that trace element contents of strata and rocks in the Ashele ore district are obviously higher than their contents in the metallogenic belt and their regional background, with their contents tending to increase from regional background through the metallogenic belt to the ore district. The surface primary anomalies of this ore deposit are in "planar"distribution along the mineralized zone, and the primary zoning of indicator elements exhibits the two layer structural model of volcanogene massive sulfide deposits characterized by Zn in the upper part and Cu in the lower part.
