THE WORKING STATION OF MAGNETOTELLURIC INTERPRETATION

The present paper describes in detail the basic train of thought, main functions and characteristics of the working station of magnetotelluric interpretation. As the magnetotelluric method has been widely used in such exploration fields as petroleum and natural gas,it is urgentlynecessary to raise and improve its processing and interpretation techniques. Aiming at solving this problem, the authors have designed this working station. It collects and develops various kinds of softwares for magnetotelluric processing and interpretation. It not only includes one-dimensional and two-dimensional interpretation softwares, but is equipped with three-dimensional interpretation system as well; in addition, there are also advanced special processing techniques and perfect drawing system. The desiging of such a working station will greatly raise the efficiency of magnetelluric interpretation and, moreaver, make magnetotelluric interpretation results more accurat and reliable.
