THE DISTRIBUTION REGULARITY OF OIL AND GAS FIELDS ALONG REGIONAL TECTONICS

Based on a comparative analysis of oil and gas fields and regional tectonics, the author holds that most oil and gas fields of China exhibit obvious distribution regulariy along regional tectonics, and this mainly finds expression in four aspects: the enrichment and distribution of oil and gas are directly controlled by deep depressions; the distribution of oil and gas accumulations is closely related to saced-order tectonic belts; the degree of oil and gas enrichment is relatively high in steep belts of the depressions; fractures constitute an important factor controling the enrichment and distribution of oil and gas. The above superficial understanding acquired by the author through yan of research on relations between high-precision aeromagnetic rasults and oil and gas fields is summed up in this paper for geologists’ reference in their exploration of oil and gas fields.
