    Research on one-way wave migration imaging: A review

    • Fourier methods have found wide application in seismic wavefield continuation due to their high computational efficiency. However, these methods are insufficient to deal with media with lateral velocity variations. In contrast, the split-step Fourier, Fourier finite-difference, and generalized-screen migration can significantly improve the accuracy of wavefield simulation and imaging by combining the continuation in the frequency-wavenumber and spatial domains. By inheriting the high computational efficiency of Fourier methods, the one-way wave migration imaging method further optimizes the algorithm design and numerical implementation. This method significantly enhances the adaptability and imaging quality of complex media, suggesting significant application value. This study systematically reviews the fundamental principles and research status of one-way wave migration imaging, summarizes its research progress from six perspectives, and proseses its development trends. The purpose is to provide a reference for further research and application of seismic imaging technology.
