Abstract: The present paper describes two basic component parts of the shallow-crustseismic prospecting system, analyses diverse characteristics of several shallow-crust seismic apparatuses based on microprocessors, and points out some pro-blems which deserve consideration in utilization of this sort of apparatus inChina. The development trend of this system is also preliminarily dealt with.
