Abstract: Following a brief review of some results obtained recently in geophysicalprospecting for solid mineral resources, this paper makes an analysis of the cur-rent trends and some problems encountered in this field and then indicates thatthe strategic thinking for geophysical prospecting should be changed from me-rely direct ore-seaxch into both direct and indirect ore-search.
