Abstract With the increasing amalgamation of the old mines and small mines, geological engineering problems tend to increase, especially the problems related to coal goaf. These geological engineering problems are likely to result in water inrush during mining.Aimed at solving these problems, the authors describe the achievements obtained from the integrated geophysical interpretation of the 3D seismic method,DC topography and controlled source electromagnet data for detecting the multilayered mined-out complex area. With an exploration example, the practical effects of these technologiesy are also discussed in this paper.
