Abstract In this paper, the authors deal with characteristics of the stress waves in the frequency area and the concord vibration. Through analyzing the data of several model piles and engineering piles, it is held that the inclination direction and tilting degree of the pile can be judged accurately on the basis of frequency area analysis.
