The division and classification of geophysical anomalies are frequently required in regional geophysical prospecting to tackle such problems as mapping, tectonic division and ore-predicting. The integrated division and classification by means of image recognition might lead this work to the level of quantitative analysis. The image recognition includes"study" method and "self-study" method, with the former pursuing "study" on known standard object and the latter conducting recognition through "self-study". Nevertheless, either method will provide new interpretations from different aspects.The geophysical work carried out in Chengde-Shenyang, Jiangsu and some-other places is cited in this paper to illustrate the availability of image recognition in the interpretation of regional geophysical data.
